Frist day at CGH...

Wow! one word to describe my day. it been ages since i've tasted civilian life and i must say it tasted pretty good. To be able to walk around on a weekday freely, having no fear or meeting any "seafood" at the next corner is invigorating. breathing the air of freedom gives meaning to life, a life where green does not make up 99% or your dress code.

Now back to the topic, yes today was my first day at CGH for my attachment and what a "fun filled fulfilling day" it was. its been oh so such a looooonnnnnnggggggggggggg time since my surrounding population is like more than 1% or the fairer side. i mean if not for today i swear my wrist would get dislocated soon enough. Alright alright besides all the cute nurses and the cute nurses, there were all the other "things" that some only get to see it on tv or read in book.

So while on our little tour of the hospital, we came to this room in the resus section where the nurse gladly introduce to us the mourning room and promptly added, " over on my left, one of our patients has just died, now this is when the room comes in handy." wow what a way to start our day. that aside, being the garang medic that i am, i was checking out all the department and helping whenever i can. i even taught a year 3 NYP nursing student how to do the ECG and one of the staff nurse actually told the nurses to look at me do the hypocount for this patient.

well i have only 2 more days of attachment left unless i decide to do nursing, come to think of it should i? i mean its like cute nurses and more cute nurses and the occasional cute girl who walks in to report sick.
